Continuing on with the Little Angles theme, here is another almost impossible to find CD single this time from 1990. I have 2 of these and neither of them will play now, both of them have disc rot and have turned a bronze colour like so many of those discs made in the UK by PDO from this era. Luckily I ripped this disc to MP3 about 8 years ago whilst it was still playable. This CD contains a couple of tracks not available on any other CD.

Making Of Midgard

Here is the original vinyl version of "Making Of Midgard" from the United Artists LP. Strangely all the subsequent re-releases and remasters have had the terrible echo version of the track. The original is much better in my opinion. Lets hope if Atomhenge re-release it again that they will get the correct version.

All About Eve - nature's way & all this and heaven

These 2 tracks are not All About Eve, but feature Julianne Regan in The Harmony Ambulance. They are taken from the Japanese only CD release called Rough Diamonds. I was quite disappointed that the tracks on this CD appear to have been ripped from vinyl. Presumably the vinyl must have been the only remaining source for the tracks. Still, this is probably the definitive version of the tracks.

Here are 2 tracks from a compilation released by voiceprint. It is now out of print and selling on amazon for over a hundred quid. Thats rediculous. This CD was released in aid of Ovarian Cancer. Marillion - Warm Wet Circles (Rock 'n' Roll Version) & Sympathy (For the Road Crew)

If you happen to have the Marillion remasters, there are some hidden tracks on Clutching At Straws and Afraid Of Sunlight. These tracks are on the multimedia part of the CD and can't be played by a regular CD player, nor can they be ripped to itunes etc. And as I remember, you have to go to the web to get a password. This is quite annoying in my opinion because I like the funny Mickey D version of Sympathy. Fortunately there is a way around this. In the multimedia part of the CD-rom you will find tracks called AUDPCW6B.ARI and AUDPCPI4.ARI. You can open them in Goldwave as File Type: Raw (snd, raw) Attributes: PCM signed 16 bit, little endian, stereo Rate (Hz): 44100. How to open the files is shown in the picture. Once you have done this, you can then save the file as wav or mp3 or whatever you want. Hope you find this useful!

Hawkwind - Theta Orionis

Some more hard to find Hawkwind here, thanks to the person that did the original rip of this bootleg CD. Tracks 3, 6, 7 are from the 1995 BBC Session. Track 9 is listed as Space Sex, but is actually Gimme Shelter. Part of Gimme Shelter is repeated again in track 10. Well it is a bootleg CD after all, what can we expect? Track 8 is from The Business Trip vinyl only release. Official CD releases of all this stuff would be very welcome.
